We had the good fortune of connecting with Lizzett Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizzett, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Graceful Touch is all about affirmations. We have too many affirmations to pick just one, but my ultimate favorite would be “awaken your soul” and “conquer from within” Our candles and products are designed to Gracefully Touch your senses. We are passionate about inspiring others to practice self-awareness. We believe that self-care begins with your mental and spiritual well-being. We are blessed to have a business we love, where every day it’s our passion and privilege to inspire all of our customer friends.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I appreciate learning every day and like so many others solo-preneurs, the road to success has been bumpy. The business inspiration came from finding an opportunity to connect with more people and aligning an interest of mine. Each product is born with an inspiration to support your inner strength while conquering your fears from within. I have learned that consistency plays a major role. Vulnerability and growth as well go hand in hand in my journey. I understand that this industry and market is competitive, and I learned that through being vulnerable and business “growing pains,” I am personally implementing my interests and growth through my products as I indulge in them myself. By trial and error, I learn a lot, and this allows me to have high expectations of the products I choose to represent the brand and bring to my consumers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love taking our family to tour San Antonio, Texas. We’re huge fans of supporting locals, so we would definitely be vising and shopping local stores. Some our favorite spots is the San Antonio River, The Alamo, The Pearl District, The Quarry, Farmers Market, Natural Bridge Caverns, Japanese Tea Garden, San Antonio Botanical Garden, and La Villita Historic Arts Village. We would visit our favorite go to restaurants such as Bliss, Down on Grayson, Cured, Fralo’s The Rustic, Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, La Gloria, and pick up some delicious Sara’s Barbacoa, Taco Palenque, Thai Taste, and Tommy’s Tacos.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The support of my family, friends, and customers is whom I owe my success too. The amount of love and support my family and friends have shown is beyond what I could have imagined and knowing that our customers are truly connecting with our products is a huge accomplishment. I am learning every day how to overcome my own challenges and fears which has created a lot of self-awareness. I truly do have an entire team that is supporting Graceful Touch and myself.

My first shoutout is for my loving husband, Eddie Perez. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to stay at home our first year to build the foundation of the company. Thank you for everything you do, not just for Graceful Touch, but for me as well. Especially, for our late nights packing orders, all your post office runs, and the daily encouragement.

My next shoutout is for my awesome brother, Ruben Sanchez, he has been my rock and mentor since before Graceful Touch. Thank you for all your love and grace in everything I do. Your support and empowerment are what pushes me every day to overcome my own fears and keep going.

My brother-in-law, Daniel Quintana for all our late-night inspiration chats and for going along with all my ideas. Your energy and love for our success is very powerful and I feel it from thousands of miles away!

My next BIG shoutout is for all my beautiful friends and family!! They have been my #1 customers and supporters since day one!! They truly do not purchase ANY other candle that is not GRACEFUL TOUCH, and we are their go to shop for gifts now. Your love and support are felt every single day! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I will never forget this one time I was on the phone with my friend Lisa, and she was asking me about Graceful Touch, and I told her I was 1 order away from hitting our 200th order, and suddenly, I hear a cha-ching (order) come through, and it was her. She made me realize how much I am loved and supported. I would also like to thank my nephew, Daniel for letting everyone at his school know that his aunt has a candle company.

My last and best SHOUTOUT is for my dearest friend, Meagan Dietz. We have been friends for over 20 years. She is currently our Social Media Marketing Manager. We are so thankful to have Meagan be part of our team. She understands the brand and what Graceful Touch represents. I feel so aligned with her as a friend and co-worker. It’s a pleasure to work with someone who knows how to make friendly, engaging, and inspiring content. It feels great to working with such a dedicated and inspiring person.
