EMPOWER Your Best Self

Do you ever wonder what the real benefits are of aromatherapy from candles?  Well, we are here to tell you how our Empower candle can help you be your best self.  Let's light our wood wick, soy wax candle and dive into the overall benefits that this mindfulness candle has in store for us!

Benefits of Aromatherapy Candles:

The smell of scented candles stimulates our limbic system, the part of the brain that is home to our memory and emotions. Hormones like serotonin and dopamine can be produced to help regulate mood. Therefore, our emotional state is influenced by the relationship that exists between scents, memories, and emotions."

Our Empower candle is comprised of a bergamot and coriander blend.  Let's explore the benefits that these essential oils have on us!

Benefits of Bergamot:

What exactly is Bergamot you may wonder.  Bergamot, is a citrus fruit about the size of an orange. Believed to be a natural hybrid of lemon and bitter orange, bergamot fruit has a yellow-green color similar to a lime that changes as it ripens and has a light, citrus scent.

Though you may not be familiar with the name bergamot, you are probably familiar with its flavor. Bergamot is what gives Earl Grey tea its signature flavor and scent – it is also one of the most commonly used ingredients in perfumery.

The bergamot essential oil used in perfumery is extracted from the rind of the fruit. It takes about a hundred bergamot oranges to product just three ounces of bergamot essential oil!

The benefits of bergamot are quiet invigorating.  Bergamot candles offer an aromatic experience quite unlike any other, uplifting the senses while relaxing the mind. That makes bergamot particularly beneficial for mental strife, alleviating symptoms of stress and anxiety to leave only a feel-good atmosphere.

Benefits of Coriander:

The other component of our Empower candle is coriander. Organic coriander seed essential oil is steam distilled from the seeds of Coriandrum sativum, and the fresh leaves are commonly known as cilantro! Coriander oil is a middle note that is earthy and sweet, with woody notes and a touch of citrus, which compliments the bergamot in our Empower candle.

Coriander essential oil is gentle and compassionate and intertwines with the depths of human nature, according to aromatherapist Valerie Ann Worwood in Aromatherapy For the Soul. She says the emotional benefits of coriander (Coriandrum sativum) are to encourage creativity, imagination, good memory, confidence, motivation, optimism, sincerity, expressiveness, and enthusiasm.

Other benefits of coriander include:

Aromatica: A Clinical Guide to Essential Oil Therapeutics, Volume 2: Psychologically, coriander promotes emotional stability, integration, self-confidence, and courage. Physically, the essential oil restores hypotonic/weak conditions and stimulates cold conditions. In Traditional Chinese Medicine the essential function of the oil is to nourish the Blood, harmonize the Middle Warmer, and strengthen the Shen.

The Essential Guide to Aromatherapy and Vibrational Healing: Spiritually, you can use coriander to cleanse your aura. Mentally, the essential oil improves memory and mental clarity and helps you concentrate. Emotionally this oil helps you get rid of emotional baggage clogging your emotional body and preventing healthy relationships.

Aromatherapy and Subtle Energy Techniques: Coriander promotes enthusiasm, optimism, and healing. The oil is especially useful for the second chakra to promote creativity, spontaneity, and passion and to help heal relationship issues.
